ONE TRIPLE AND TWO DOUBLES LIFT EGHAM'S SPIRITS

Matt Graves with three last Tuesday, Charlie McCarthy with two at Croydon and last night Adie Barrance with another pair at home to Colliers Wood United; what would happen if all three were playing to the top of their undoubted ability at once? Against resolute opponents Egham struggled to get into the game, third from bottom Wood playing with a tenacity and passion that earnt them a half-time advantage. A far better second half performance from the Sarnies saw a perfectly good goal from Tom Bentley, back after a long injury break, ruled out before Barrance, who had not played at Croydon, come off the bench to bang in two superb strikes for the win. As the colour coding in the table below highlights this Egham team have results that are, in general, good or bad. We have a pair of tough tests against fourth placed Chessington & Hook United on Saturday, and a week later against Cove, who will also be hard to beat. However, with three strikers banging the goals in (61so far this season) we have a chance still to make a push for a top six place.
