NEWS

EGHAM TOWN LOSE MATT GRAVES AND THREE POINTS

A predictably feisty match between the Sarnies and Bedfont saw Town's leading scorer stretchered off following a crude challenge by James Kelsh six minutes into the second half. Kelsh, who injured himself in the process, was ushered off the pitch in the shadow of a red card. Happily the news is not as bad as feared; there is no break and Matthew hopes to be back in 2-3 weeks. To be fair, though, it may not have been this that saw Bedfont beat Egham for the first time in the CCL Premier. A rubbish first half showing by Egham saw them turn round a goal down, and the visitors took a 2-0 lead before goals from Charlie McCarthy and debutant Adie Barrance pegged them back. Alas, the failure to close down on the edge of the area contributed to the Middlesex men taking all three points.
